Artist Show Art: Bella Rune

Sat 25 feb 20232:00 pm

We regularly invite artists to share their impressions of the current exhibition. This time, the artist Bella Rune will share her perspective on Peter Geschwind’s exhibition After Image.

Experimenting with different materials and techniques, Bella Rune creates sculptures with performative elements. Her practice is based on an interest in craft, history and contemporary culture, and her work often emanates from the place for which it is created. Recurring throughout her work is a closeness to classic textile traditions such as weaving. Rune is also interested in how new digital media, such as augmented reality (AR), can be used to connect physical reality with a virtual world.

Bella Rune works in Stockholm, and is educated at Chelsea College of Arts, London (1995–1998) and Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm (1992–1994). Rune has exhibited in Sweden and internationally, including at Marabouparken, Moderna Museet, Malmö Art Museum, the Istanbul Biennale, and Ynglingagatan 1, which was run under the auspices of, among others, the artist collective swe.de of which Peter Geschwind was a part.

In Swedish.

Entrance to the exhibition is included in the admission fee. Limited number of participants.
