What does shelter mean in our time? The exhibition Det som bar mig (What held me) at Bonniers Konsthall is an in-depth exploration of shelter, community, resistance and survival through sculpture and installation by some of the most interesting artists of our time. Drawing on both personal and societal narratives, the artists explore the multifaceted aspects of shelter – not only as a physical construction, but also as an emotional and cultural experience. Through a feminist and critical lens, the exhibition weaves images of collapse and reconstruction, of temporariness and permanence, where art becomes a mirror for man’s quest for belonging and security. Det som bar mig (What held me) invites visitors to explore the many forms of shelter, from the individual to the collective, from the temporary to the permanent.
