Tarek Atoui is one of the world’s most celebrated contemporary sound artists. His concerts using custom-built electronic instruments and computers in combination with intense choreography have become his trademark. The concerts are often the culmination of a series of workshop in which Atoui invites both the public or professional programmers and musicians to collaborate with him on the creation of new instruments.
Together with students from both KTH (the Royal Institute of Technology) and the Royal College of Music and Fine Arts, Tarek Atoui will perform a concert at The Haunted Palace on November 20th. Through this project, Tarek Atoui makes a collection of historic electronic music available to a younger generation. The music truly comes alive in the palace’s unique artwork and interiors. The Haunted Palace belongs to Stockholm University and is normally closed to the public. The concert is a unique chance to visit the building.
