Peter Geschwind developed a unique technique for creating “reality animations,” in which he used sound and light to create the illusion of objects being alive. In the conversation, you will learn more about the analogue inventions in early film and animation history that inspired the works in the exhibition After Image. Additionally, artist Niki Lindroth von Bahr shares her thoughts on her own process and relationship to older animation techniques. The conversation is led by the curator and writer Niclas Östlind.
