Musical artist Vera Vinter will give a unique guest performance at Bonniers Konsthall based on the exhibition The Trees, Light Green. She responds to the artworks through her voice and guitar, giving melodic form to the marsh, with its tree trunks rising up and the light filtering down through them. The music is interwoven with a tour of the exhibition led by one of the museum’s art guides. In Swedish.
VERA VINTER
With a quiet, lyrical, elemental force, Vera Vinter sings of how we feel when we tramp across asphalt instead of moss. Her childhood in the far-north village of Stora Lappträsk in Norrbotten County is fundamental to her music. With a voice that does not shrink from pain and ugliness, she takes us along on a hunt for beautiful and better worlds. “A true storyteller,” wrote Dagens Nyheter’s reviewer of her debut solo album, and since then Vinter has written and produced her own music and toured all over the Nordic region, both as the main event and as the opening act for artists such as Bo Kaspers Orkester and Petra Marklund.
