In her film debut Goshogaoka, Sharon Lockhart establishes her individual, suggestive style. A static camera films a Japanese basketball team as they practice in which the filming resembles a sort of calculated choreography.
Teatro Amazonas takes place in the same opera house as Werner Herzog’s Fitzcarraldo. In one long take, Lockhart films the audience as the stage Music is eventually replaced by the sound of the public.
