The world is collapsing, life is finite. The exhibition Playa! offers grace and hope at the end of time. Rhythm, hand, thought, association, words and poetry tie together Bonniers Konsthall’s major autumn exhibition. Through painting, sculpture, installation and social situations, a large number of artists from different generations, based in Sweden and the Nordic countries, are presented.

Playa! forms a kind of generational exhibition, however the word generation here is driven more by an approach to art than by year of birth. Between the existential nodes of grace and hope, the exhibition examines the condition of art and man. Is there hope? Does beauty exist? Is there a way forward in the social life? In the microbiology of friendship, in the aesthetic sensation or in the political association?

Common for the presented artists is that they are driven by a concentrated energy, where the works are situated somewhere between magic and criticism.
